We use large 200-300gr Argentinian or Atlantic Northern Shortfin Squid which have a thick walled tube to keep the hook set longer. Loligo squid are thinner walled, and are used by the commercial market, and specific sportfishing markets. Illex squid is also thinner walled and correspondingly less durable.

The package contains 2-3 squid. Used mostly for Halibut and groundfish, squid is a very effective natural action bait. Packaged in 7S foam trays and vacuum sealed in 3 mil bags to keep product fresh for over a year.
